Gary and Pat Grissom planted their
first fruit trees in the spring of 1963. Included in the first planting were both
apple and peach trees. The orchard has continued to expand with 70 acres presently
under cultivation.
Our
peach harvest begins the third week of July, and finishes the last week of september.
Apples are continuous, starting in mid-July. Our main crop of apples starts
on Labor Day and continues until we are sold out.
Our
fruit is sold directly to our drive-in customers. Our hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
daily. We are open daily from mid-July till January. We are located one mile
north of Greenup, Illinois on route 130.
