WELCOME TO PIRATE COUNTRY!

Welcome back to the Cumberland Wrestling Team website. The team finished off the regular season by traveling to the Eastern Illinois Wrestling Conference Tournament in Hoopeston. The Pirates sent 9 wrestlers to the final round and had 7 wins in the finals. Doug Powers led the team by bringing home a Championship and Clay Wilson added a second place finish. Isaac Christopher and Jim Kruse took 3rd place, Dakota Hooker and Nick Powers took 5th place, Shane Layton 6th and Drew Huddlestun and Andrew McClain took 7th. The Pirates wrestle again on February 2 when they host the IHSA Regional Tournament. Come out and see these guys kick butt in the worlds oldest and toughest sport.
