from Mattoon High School in 1981; played volleyball and basketball (no
softball team at that time - played ASA summer traveling softball); member
of 2 Elite Eight Basketball teams (1978 and 1979) and 1 Final Four basketball
team (1978).
Jr. College: Graduated from Lake Land College; Mattoon, IL, in 1983 with an Associates in Science Degree; volleyball and basketball scholarship (held record for free throw percentage for over 10 years and #9 on the all-time scoring list). Returned in 1996 to obtain a social studies degree. College: Graduated from Greenville College in Greenville, IL, in 1985, with a Bachelor's of Science in English Education; played volleyball and basketball. Continuing Education: Currently pursuing a master's degree in Educational Psychology with emphasis on Curriculum Technology Education Reform from the University of Illinois. |

Aurora East School District #131; Aurora, IL - 8 years; K.D. Waldo Middle School: English and girls basketball coach; Aurora East High School: English. This job was a dangerous one. I dealt with six different street gangs within the community and schools. I've seen school violence up close and personally. For example, I've been under tables due to gunfire among other experiences. Through my Aurora experience, I gained a higher appreciation for life and family which brought us back home!!
