We now have new search tools available. The Search rr1 allows you to type in a key word and search the Cumberland Internet web site for information.  Clicking on site index will give you an alphabetical listing of pages on the Cumberland Internet web site.  You can then click on the page you need.  Clicking on Site Index again closes the listing. We would welcome feedback about these features at suggestions@rr1.net .

Virus Information:

  • 5/03/04: A new worm "Sasser" is spreading rapidly. You don't have to click on a email attachment or any link to become infected. It is spread by just being on the Internet.  Windows 98 and Millenium users are not affected by this virus. Windows XP and 2000 computers are vulnerable without the most recent Windows Updates.  To see if you have the virus and to attempt to repair it, follow this link: http://www.microsoft.com/security/incident/sasser.asp If you are unable to download and run the repair file, you'll need to have a computer technician repair your computer.  This can be done at the Computer Partners/Cumberland Internet store.
  • 3/06/04: Cumberland Internet's Spam and Virus filter service called Postini is catching viruses being sent that appear to be from Cumberland Internet. These messages are NOT from Cumberland Internet. The characteristics of this virus is that the messages appear to be from your Internet Service Provider.  You can read about this and other viruses at
