How to change your homepage for Windows 95/98 and Macintosh

For Windows 95/98:

Click on VIEW

Click on OPTIONS

Click on the tab labeled NAVIGATION

The default field is the START PAGE, the address below is what you will go to automatically when you open your browser.

Note: you can click on START PAGE and change your SEARCH PAGE or your QUICK LINKS - Try it!

I recommend you set your history to 1 and hit the button 'clear history' while you are here to clear your history.

Macintosh: How do I change the default homepage that comes up when I connect?  AND I don't get the page with the clouds anymore when I connect, how do I get this back?

1. make sure Internet Explorer is open.

2. Click on EDIT  (at the top of your screen, by file, etc) and select PREFERENCES

3. The Internet Explorer Preferences window will open (see below), Select HOME/SEARCH from the left hand column. Type in the address exactly as shown in the HOME PAGE ADDRESS box.

4. Click OK.   The next time you hit the 'home' icon or you connect you should come up to the Cumberland Internet Homepage.
